Full-stack development for the official digital platform of Magic Mike Live Las Vegas — Channing Tatum’s long-running live entertainment production at SAHARA Las Vegas. Custom WordPress site with tiered ticketing integration, group sales pathways, and a conversion-focused frontend built for the show’s relaunch at its new venue.
Development lead at Situation Interactive.
Background
A hit Las Vegas show was relocating to a new venue and needed a digital relaunch to match.
Magic Mike Live — created and co-directed by Channing Tatum, produced by Base Entertainment — first opened in Las Vegas in April 2017 at the Hard Rock Hotel, where it ran for over 1,300 performances across more than two years. When the Hard Rock closed to reopen as Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, the production secured a new permanent home at SAHARA Las Vegas on the Strip. The move was originally planned for spring 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the opening twice — first to March 2021, then to August 26, 2021. That delay created a rare window: a proven production with an established audience relaunching in a new venue, needing a digital platform that could reintroduce the show to the market and drive ticket sales from day one of the reopening.
The site needed to sell tickets across multiple tiers — general admission, VIP experiences, and group bookings of 10 or more — while conveying the energy and premium positioning of a 90-minute, 360-degree live entertainment experience.
Implementation
A conversion-driven WordPress build with tiered ticketing and a frontend built for energy.
I led development on a custom WordPress site designed around a single priority: moving visitors from landing to ticket purchase with minimal friction. The homepage was built hero-first with prominent calls-to-action routing visitors into three distinct ticket pathways — general admission, VIP experiences (“Mike’s Ultimate Experience”), and group sales with a 10+ discount incentive. The ticketing integration connected to the TickXCore widget, embedding the purchase flow directly into the site rather than redirecting to a third-party platform. The frontend leaned into the show’s visual identity with a dark color scheme, CSS clip-path animations on buttons, and responsive imagery optimized across multiple breakpoints. I integrated the Lenis library for smooth scrolling behavior and built a media carousel showcasing press quotes from outlets like Glamour, PopSugar, and the Las Vegas Sun. The site also supported cross-promotional content for SAHARA Las Vegas — hotel booking links and dining reservations surfaced contextually alongside show information.
Every page enforced an 18+ age requirement and valid photo ID policy, with accessibility features including screen reader detection, reduced-motion support, and keyboard navigation optimization built into the frontend from the start.
Results
Over 3,300 performances and counting — the digital platform that powered the relaunch.
The site launched ahead of Magic Mike Live’s August 2021 reopening at SAHARA Las Vegas, providing the production with a conversion-ready digital platform from the first night of the new run. The tiered ticketing architecture handled the full range of purchasing scenarios — individual tickets, premium VIP packages, and group bookings — through a single embedded flow that kept visitors on-site through checkout. The production has since surpassed 2,000 performances at SAHARA alone (celebrated in March 2026) and over 3,300 total Las Vegas performances since 2017. The show expanded to additional markets including New York and London, with the site architecture supporting multi-location content alongside the Las Vegas-specific experience.
The platform continues to serve one of the longest-running and most commercially successful live entertainment productions on the Las Vegas Strip.
